Job Description

Our client KIRRA POINT SURF SCHOOL PTY LTD is looking for a full time Manager. The Retail Manager will be responsible for the overall success of our business (Kirra Point Surf School). This includes planning and driving sales targets, managing and developing the team, controlling inventory, and ensuring compliance with all Australian workplace and safety laws.

The primary goal is to deliver exceptional customer service while maximising profitability.

1. Sales & Financial Performance

- Plan, forecast, and achieve sales budgets and KPIs for the business.
- Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales data to identify trends and areas for growth.
- Manage operational costs, including payroll, stock shrinkage, and controllable expenses.
- Ensure accurate processing of financial transactions and end-of-day banking procedures.

2. Team Leadership & Management

- Recruit, onboard, and train current retail staff.
- Create rosters to ensure optimal floor coverage while strictly adhering to the

General Retail Industry Award and budget constraints.

- Set performance metrics, conduct regular performance reviews, and manage ongoing team development.




- Foster a positive team culture that aligns with company values and promotes high employee retention.

3. Customer Experience

- Ensure the team delivers a premium, welcoming, and personalised customer service experience.
- Handle customer escalations, complaints, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Implement initiatives to build customer loyalty and drive repeat business.

4. Operations & Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, conduct regular stocktakes, and manage inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure optimal product mix and availability and ensure marketing policies reflect this (price setting etc)
- Promote the businesses services

5. Compliance & Safety

- Ensure full compliance with Australian

Work Health and Safety (WHS / OHS) regulations.

- Maintain security protocols, including cash handling and loss prevention strategies.
- Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and Australian workplace laws.

You must hold a diploma in business or similar AND have no less than 3 years full time paid work experience in a similar role. Remuneration on offer for the full time role is $79,500 p.a. plus super.
