About The Role

The Assistant Humanities Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling teaching duties and employing various management strategies and technologies to execute leadership tasks within the Humanities faculty. This role involves overseeing and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in history, geography, civics, and culture, guiding and implementing curriculum changes, and ensuring consistent, high-quality program delivery across the College. The Assistant Humanities Coordinator supports teachers to understand and apply evidence-based and innovative instructional methods, manage student behaviour, organise and supervise relief staff, and use assessment and feedback data to inform and enhance student learning outcomes. Working in partnership with teachers, students, and families, the Assistant Humanities Coordinator collaborates with colleagues to design, develop,



and achieve the objectives outlined in the school's annual improvement plan. The Assistant Humanities Coordinator fosters a productive, supportive, and intellectually rich learning environment that develops students' curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness, upholding professional standards through ongoing development and accreditation, and aligning with the school's long-term goals.

Qualifications And Eligibility

- Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
- ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
- Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
