We are seeking two reliable and motivated Trade Assistants to support a growing Australian manufacturer specialising in custom-built switchrooms and modular buildings. Based on a project at Brisbane Airport, this is an excellent chance to join a supportive team and contribute to the assembly and installation of high-quality modular infrastructure in a dynamic work environment.
Assignment Dates
- Assignment 1: 10 August - 21 August
- Assignment 2: 7 September - 18 September
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
About the Role
As a Trade Assistant, you will support the production team by assisting with the assembly and fit-out of switchboards and electrical equipment. Your duties will include:
- Fitting off switchboards
- Positioning and securing electrical panels onto frames
- Using hand and power tools, including drills and impact drivers
- Performing manual handling tasks safely
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Working collaboratively to achieve production targets
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience using power tools in a manufacturing, construction, assembly, or trade environment
- A current White Card
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Desirable (but not essential):
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence
