The Position

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher - Junior Primary to deliver high-quality education, and oversee curriculum, planning and assessment of students.

The position is ongoing part-time commencing Term 1, 2027. The successful applicant must be available to work at a 0.60FTE capacity during Semester 1, increasing to 0.80FTE during Semester 2, 2027.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Base teaching on best theoretical and practical knowledge and knowledge of each student's development, skills and interest.
- Identify and cater for individual learner needs, collaborating with other teachers and specialists' staff in the College.
- Provide an environment that promotes the cognitive, physical, emotional, social and intellectual wellbeing of all students.




- Work closely with parents regarding the progress and development of their children.
- Participate in the creation, development and evaluation of curriculum.
- Design lesson plans and assessments that reflect a deep understanding of the content.
- Stay informed regarding current trends, teaching practices and curriculum and resource developments by remaining in contact with relevant associations and other professional networks.

Role Requirements

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and VIT registration is essential.
- Experienced with the Reggio Emilia approach to teaching.
- Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) trained - Autism focus
- Experience developing modified curriculum for students with additional needs.
- Up to date with current research into teaching in early years learning.
- Recent experience with additional needs in an Early Years classroom.
- Open to new ideas and a willingness to implement and change.
- Communicate effectivelywith students, staff, parents and the broader school community.
- Up to7 days of gifted leave per year(Jewish Holidays) in addition to public holidays

*NOTE: The advertised salary range is subject to an increase in March 2027, and a further increase in July 2027, in accordance with the College’s Enterprise Agreement.
