The Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician with a strong mechanical aptitude, capable of performing repairs, servicing breakdowns, and general maintenance in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your technical skills while ensuring the operational efficiency of our production line and associated equipment.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installation, repairs, maintenance, fault finding, and diagnostics on plant and equipment.
- Attend to breakdowns swiftly to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure all tasks comply with Protected Operating Procedures and statutory regulations.
- Maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program to reduce unplanned stoppages.
- Collaborate with the team to drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and safety.
- Lead and mentor apprentices on best practices and safety measures.
- Organize and oversee contractors and manage spare parts inventory as required.
Your Qualifications
- Electrical Trade Certificate and unrestricted Electrical Licence.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in electrical fault finding.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, TPM, Root Cause Analysis).
- Experience reading and understanding workshop drawings.
- Strong communication, time management, and prioritization skills.
