This position is a 12-month contract based in Melbourne, providing a competitive daily rate and the opportunity to engage with advanced AI and cloud-native projects. As a senior engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and continuous support of highly scalable microservices.

- Compensation: $184,500 - $258,300

What you’ll do

- Design and implement scalable microservices to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Maintain and enhance existing systems to improve performance and reliability.




- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Solid proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Skills & tools

- Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus or ELK stack.
