About the role This position is a permanent opportunity for a Senior Director of Software Engineering. You will oversee a team of 50 professionals located in Sydney and the United States, along with offshore teams in Asia and South America. You will be responsible for leading the Engineering and Quality functions, including hiring for open director positions.

What you’ll do

- Manage and guide a diverse team of engineers and quality assurance professionals.
- Oversee full-stack product development using Node.js, along with data analytics and DevOps practices.
- Ensure continuous product delivery to clients every few weeks.
- Collaborate with other directors to drive strategic initiatives and improve team performance.

Requirements

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.




- Proven expertise in full-stack development, particularly with Node.js.
- Strong background in quality assurance processes and practices.
- Experience managing large teams across multiple locations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure.
- Experience in agile methodologies and project management.

Skills & tools

- Proficient in Node.js and related technologies.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools and DevOps practices.
