What you'll do

- Champion and enforce engineering best practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, and established design patterns to enhance code quality and team productivity.
- Serve as a representative of Thoughtworks' technical prowess and thought leadership, both to clients and internally within the organization.
- Act as a dependable technical consultant, fostering relationships with clients while staying attuned to market dynamics and trends.
- Identify areas for enhancement within client operations and lead initiatives for organizational change to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assess client requirements, formulate account strategies, and develop proposals aimed at delivering tangible value to clients.
- Clearly communicate how our delivery aligns with client objectives and broader business initiatives, ensuring transparency and understanding.
- Maintain a consistent delivery of value through the management of high-performing teams and proactive risk assessment in collaboration with clients.




- Encourage the professional development of Thoughtworkers by promoting a culture of feedback and inclusivity within the team environment.
- Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and legal standards across all client accounts, safeguarding both client and company interests.

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in managing the scope and structure of work programs effectively.
- Background in account management, including handling third-party contracts, nurturing client relationships, engaging in pre-sales activities, and managing client reporting and upselling efforts.
- Proficient in leading meetings, preparing comprehensive reports, providing technical sales support, and managing budgets efficiently.
- Willingness to support delivery teams as necessary, showcasing flexibility and teamwork.
- Familiarity with delivery methodologies such as TDD, continuous integration, pairing, and infrastructure automation, ensuring modern practices are upheld.
- Strong aptitude for building and sustaining relationships with senior leaders within organizations, facilitating collaboration and trust.
- Excellent ability to switch contexts and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Comfortable operating in environments with minimal guidance, demonstrating leadership, organization, and timely delivery of commitments.
- Resilient in the face of ambiguity,



capable of adapting roles to meet challenges from various perspectives, and adept at risk management.
- Empathetic approach to relationship-building, enabling swift and thoughtful resolution of issues.

Nice to have

- Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture, enhancing the ability to deliver scalable solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, contributing to a energetic and responsive project environment.
- Previous experience in mentoring junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.

Skills & tools

- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby, along with frameworks that support modern development practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, enhancing application deployment and management.
