What you’ll do
- Lead a team of engineers in the development and enhancement of Salesforce applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and sales, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Oversee the architecture and design of Salesforce solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security are prioritized in all implementations.
- Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and deployment processes, to maintain high-quality standards.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the engineering team.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all Salesforce initiatives are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Analyze system performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features, tools, and industry trends, integrating relevant advancements into our systems.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners to integrate third-party applications and services with Salesforce.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all Salesforce processes, configurations, and customizations.
- Conduct regular training sessions for end-users to ensure effective utilization of Salesforce tools and features.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align Salesforce initiatives with the overall business strategy and objectives.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Salesforce development and administration, with a proven track record of leading engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce platform capabilities, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and Salesforce APIs.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or Salesforce Certified Application Architect.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments.
- Experience with data migration and integration tools, such as MuleSoft or Informatica.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages, such as Java or JavaScript, to enhance Salesforce customizations.
- Previous experience in a fintech or startup environment, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in this space.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Salesforce development tools and technologies, including Salesforce DX, Workbench, and Developer Console.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, to manage code repositories and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong understanding of database management and data modeling principles, particularly within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools within Salesforce to drive data-driven decision-making.
