About therole
Western Health is seeking an exceptional and forward-thinking senior leader to join us as Director, Access and Patient Flow .
This is a high-impact, organisation-wide role at the centre of delivering timely, safe and equitable care across one of Victoria’s fastest growing and most dynamic health services.
Keyresponsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will shape and lead the strategy for access, patient flow and capacity optimisation across all Western Health campuses. You will drive system-wide improvement - designing and embedding contemporary governance, performance frameworks and innovative models of care that enable productive, coordinated patient journeys from admission through to discharge.
Working in close partnership with divisional, clinical and operational leaders, you will influence decision-making at scale, strengthen consistency in key processes, and lead initiatives that directly improve patient outcomes, staff experience and system performance. This is a rare opportunity to lead meaningful reform and make a visible difference across the entire health service.
Aboutyou
We are looking for a strategic, values-led executive with a strong track record in complex health environments. You bring deep expertise in managing heath service performance, along with a clear understanding of the pressures facing contemporary acute services. You are an influential leader who builds trust quickly, uses data to drive decisions, and translates complexity into clear, actionable priorities.
