Location: Notting Hill, VIC
Position: Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Apprenticeship: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Continuing)

If you're a 2nd or 3rd Year Mechanical Apprentice looking to broaden your skills and gain real-world experience, this could be the opportunity you're after.

At Matrix Process Solutions, you'll work on specialised food, beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical processing equipment alongside experienced Service Technicians. You'll gain exposure to both workshop-based repairs and onsite service work, developing the practical skills and confidence needed to build a successful long-term career in the mechanical trade.

This is an chance to learn from experienced professionals, tackle varied and interesting work, and progress towards becoming a qualified Service Technician.

Key Responsibilities

You will:





- Assist with servicing, maintenance, and repair of equipment
- Support workshop-based assembly, refurbishment, and repairs
- Learn fault finding and assist with breakdown repairs
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Working from drawings, instructions and technical specifications
- Attending customer sites with senior technicians to support service and maintenance activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Develop technical skills through hands‑on learning and mentorship

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, is eager to learn, and wants to build a long‑term career in the mechanical trade. Ideally, you will:

- Be a current 2nd or 3rd year Mechanical Apprentice (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade)
- Have a genuine interest in mechanical work and problem‑solving
- Enjoy practical, hands‑on work
- Be reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Hold (or be working towards obtaining) a current Australian Driver's Licence

Highly regarded but not essential:

- Previous workshop or mechanical experience
- Ability to read drawings or understand equipment
