Beenleigh Steel Fabrications – Berrinba QLD

BSF Group is a heavy steel fabrication and installation company based in Berrinba, Queensland. We work across workshop fabrication and site installation projects, and we are looking for a practical, hands‑on person to take ownership of our plant, equipment and tooling.

This is a hands‑on role, not a desk‑based management position. It would suit someone who is mechanically minded, has an electrical background, or has worked with tools, machinery, equipment or plant in the construction, fabrication, steel, manufacturing or trade sectors.

About the Role

You will be responsible for keeping our workshop and site plant, equipment and tooling organised, maintained, safe and ready for use. The role involves coordinating repairs, servicing, inspections, tooling, consumables and general equipment readiness across the business. You will work closely with our workshop team, site crews, supervisors and suppliers to make sure the right gear is available, safe and in good working order when it is needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and coordinate workshop and site plant, equipment and tooling
- Arrange servicing, repairs, inspections and testing as required
- Keep equipment registers and maintenance records up to date
- Monitor the condition, availability and safe use of tools and equipment
- Prepare equipment and tooling for upcoming site works
- Liaise with workshop staff, site crews, supervisors and suppliers
- Identify damaged, missing or unsafe equipment and arrange rectification
- Assist with purchasing, replacement and improvement of tooling and equipment
- Help improve systems for tracking, storing and maintaining equipment
- Support a safe,



organised and efficient workshop and site operation

About You

We are looking for someone practical, reliable and organised who takes pride in keeping equipment in positive working order.

You do not need to come from a management background. We are more interested in someone who is hands‑on, switched on, mechanically aware and willing to take ownership.

You may have experience in:

- Electrical trades or equipment servicing
- Construction tools and plant
- Steel fabrication or installation
- Workshop, stores or equipment coordination
- Machinery, welding equipment, power tools, access equipment or site gear

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

- Strong mechanical aptitude or electrical understanding
- Experience with plant, tools, machinery or construction equipment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A practical approach to problem solving
- Ability to communicate with workshop and site teams
- High regard for safety and equipment condition
- Initiative and pride in keeping things running properly A forklift licence, trade background or experience in steel fabrication, construction or industrial environments would be beneficial, but is not essential.
