Berryman Diesel Maintenance is seeking multiple Trades Assistants to join our team at Boggabri Coal Operations. This is a fulltime casual position on a 5/4 day and night rotating roster with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the trades and services industry. As a Trades Assistant, you will support on site tradespeople in delivering maintenance and repair services to Boggabri Coal's large range of mining equipment.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting qualified tradespeople with maintenance tasks
- Preparing work areas and organising tools and equipment
- Performing general labouring duties including cleaning, sorting and material handling
- Supporting the setup and breakdown of work stations
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles and equipment
- Following health and safety procedures and workplace guidelines




- Learning trade skills and techniques under the guidance of experienced team members
- Maintaining a clean and protected working environment

What we're looking for

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
- A willingness to learn and develop skills within the trades industry
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environment
- Reliability and punctuality
- Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or in a similar labouring role is advantageous but not essential
- Valid driver's licence
