About You :

- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Current Drivers License and own transport
- Working with Children Check
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate
- National Police Check

Position Summary :

The Occupational Therapist – Level 2 is an independent practitioner responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services. This role involves working with individuals to improve their daily living skills, functional independence, and overall well‑being. The therapist will manage a moderate caseload, contribute to professional development activities, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

This role aligns with Empowered Minds Australia’s mission to support children, youth, and families,



particularly within CALD communities, by delivering accessible and innovative allied health services.

Key Requirements :

- Minimum two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in routine clinical matters.
- Experience managing a moderate caseload while ensuring high-quality client outcomes.
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision‑making in occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, families, and teams.
- Proficiency in assistive technology, home modifications, and environmental adaptations.
- Time management skills to balance clinical and administrative responsibilities effectively.
- Experience working with CALD communities and diverse populations.
- Familiarity with specialist therapy techniques or emerging assistive technologies.
- Research skills to contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibility :

Clinical Service Delivery

- Independently assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy interventions for individuals with diverse needs.
- Develop personalised therapy programs to enhance clients’ daily living,



social participation, and functional abilities.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to support client goals.
- Provide assistive technology recommendations and environmental modifications to improve accessibility and independence.

Team Collaboration

- Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Provide input into service planning and contribute to team development initiatives.
- Support and mentor Level 1 occupational therapists or students as required.

Professional Development & Quality Improvement

- Engage in ongoing learning, completing at least two professional development activities annually.
- Attend peer supervision sessions and contribute to clinical case reviews.
- Implement evidence‑based practices and assist in evaluating service delivery improvements.
- Participate in workplace education by presenting insights or training to peers.

Compliance and Administration

- Maintain accurate and timely client records and documentation in compliance with professional and organisational standards.
- Ensure adherence to NDIS, Medicare, and ethical occupational therapy practice guidelines.
- Prepare high‑quality reports for clients, stakeholders, and funding bodies within designated timeframes.
