Foley Logistics Pty Ltd is one of South East Queensland's leading transport and crane truck operators, servicing government, council, infrastructure, Tier 1 and commercial clients.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Heavy Rigid Crane Truck Operator who is looking for more than just another driving job.

This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company with a genuine pathway into Operations Management.

For the right person, this role has been specifically designed to transition from an operational position into a leadership role within the business.

About the Role

Initially, you'll be responsible for operating our fleet of modern crane trucks, carrying out a variety of transport and lifting operations across South East Queensland.

You’ll be transporting and lifting:

- Machinery

- Building products

- Steel

- Containers

- Site equipment

- General freight

- Oversized loads

- Construction materials

You’ll operate a variety of vehicles ranging from:

- 6 Tonne Crane Trucks

- 8 Tonne Crane Trucks

- 10 Tonne Crane Trucks

- 12 Tonne Crane Trucks

- 14 Tonne Twin Steer Crane Trucks

- Light Rigid taxi trucks

- Medium rigid truck.

- Couriers.

This position will predominantly involve operating Heavy Rigid crane trucks. However, as part of our team-based approach, the successful applicant must be willing and capable of operating other vehicles within the Foley Logistics fleet when operational requirements dictate. Flexibility across different vehicle types is essential to support the needs of the business and our clients.



No two days are the same, with work spanning government infrastructure, council projects, commercial construction and specialised logistics For Tier 1 national clients.

Essential Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

- Minimum 5 years' experience operating Vehicle Loading Cranes (HMF, HIAB, Palfinger or similar)

- Minimum 5 years' experience driving Heavy Rigid vehicles

- Experience operating Road Ranger and Synchromesh gearboxes

- Strong understanding of load restraint and lifting operations

- Current HR Licence (HC or MC highly regarded)

- Technically inclined

- Excellent communication skills

- Strong work ethic

- Professional presentation

- Commitment to safety and customer service

Desirable Qualifications

While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:

- Dogging Licence

- Basic Rigging Licence

- Forklift Licence

- HC or MC Licence

- Experience working on government or Tier 1 projects, understanding correct procedures.

Subject to demonstrated performance, leadership ability and successful completion of the training programme, the successful candidate may transition into an Operations Manager position within their first 12 months of employment.
