About Us

Richmond Republic is an independently owned pub in Melbourne’s sporting precinct, known for live sports, elevated pub fare, gaming and a welcoming atmosphere.

We are seeking an experienced Venue Supervisor to oversee night operations and support the venue management team. This role is suited to someone confident running busy evening shifts, leading staff and maintaining strong operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise evening and late-night operations across food, beverage, TAB, Keno and gaming

- Lead closing shifts, with a strong focus on closing procedures

- Direct and support bar, floor and gaming staff during service

- Ensure compliance with VGCCC, Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Gambling, OH&S;, AML/CTF and venue policies

- Manage cash handling, end-of-night reconciliations and venue security procedures

- Monitor customer behaviour and manage incidents, refusals of service and conflict professionally





- Maintain service, presentation and cleanliness standards throughout the venue

- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, irregularities and maintenance issues

- Escalate significant operational or staffing matters to venue management

Skills & Experience

- Minimum two years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a pub, bar, gaming or hospitality venue

- Strong experience managing busy evening and late-night shifts

- Current RSA, RSG and TAB accreditation

- Confident supervising staff and making operational decisions

- Strong communication, conflict resolution and time-management skills

- Sound knowledge of cash handling, reconciliations and closing procedures

- Full working rights in Australia (Sponsorship is NOT available)

- Availability to work nights, weekends and public holidays, with flexibility to take on additional hours when required (Expected hours 10-30 hours per week)

- Knowledge of GFR Pro is advantageous

- Reliability, accountability and robust personal presentation are essential
