Located in the area of Logan, we are currently working with a busy and well-established skin surgery that is seeking a Skin GP to join their team to work Tuesdays.
With strong demand, this is an excellent prospect to step into a high-volume clinic.
Job Description:
- Conducting Skin Checks: Performing full-body or focused skin examinations using a handheld magnification tool to spot new, changing, or unusual lesions.
- Performing Biopsies & Surgeries: Taking tissue samples for biopsies and performing minor surgical excisions for skin cancers and suspicious moles.
- Non-Surgical Treatments: Administering treatments like cryotherapy (freezing lesions with liquid nitrogen), topical chemotherapy creams, or photodynamic therapy.
- Patient Education: Advising patients on sun protection,
self-monitoring, and managing long‑term skin health.
- Referrals & Monitoring: Photographing and monitoring borderline moles over time, or referring complex cases to specialist dermatologists or surgeons.
About the Role / Clinic:
- Average skin doctors bill around $400–$500 per hour
- Skin cancer pricings are around $157 to $239 depending on the length of the appointment
- Procedure prices vary based off competency / experience
- Children under 18 and Concession Card Holders are bulk billed
- Busy procedure waitlist
- 3 experienced skin doctors on site
- 1 day available per week, Tuesday
- Fully equipped procedure rooms for advanced skin surgery
Requirements:
- FRACGP or ACRRM (or equivalent)
- Experience with skin checks and skin procedures
- Availability to work every Tuesday on an ongoing basis
