Building Repairs & Defects Manager - Construction Background Required

We're looking for an experienced Building Repairs and Defects Manager to oversee the identification, assessment, and rectification of defects and general repairs across a portfolio of residential apartments and houses. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with a solid construction background who knows how to get the job done right the first time.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect properties to identify building defects, maintenance issues, and repair needs
- Scope, plan, and prioritise repair works across multiple sites
- Coordinate and monitor trades and contractors carrying out repairs, ensuring work meets quality and compliance standards
- Manage defect rectification processes from identification through to sign-off
- Conduct site visits and quality checks on completed works
- Liaise with property owners, tenants, strata managers, and contractors
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and defect reports
- Ensure all works comply with relevant building codes and safety standards
