Residential Only Position

We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Safety Officer to join our team at the Perilya Mine in Broken Hill. This is a fantastic opportunity to work onsite in a 7 days on / 7 days off roster, playing a key role in supporting our operations and ensuring our people go home safe every day.

Be advised this is a residential only position: successful candidates are required to re‑locate to Broken Hill NSW.

About the Role

Reporting to the Safety Team, this position is field-based and focused on engaging directly with our workforce. You will partner with frontline teams to promote safe work practices and maintain a solid safety culture across site.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting assurance activities including inspections, audits, and observations
- Supporting teams in identifying and managing workplace hazards
- Providing practical, on‑the‑ground safety guidance and coaching
- Assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions
- Promoting a proactive safety culture across all departments
- Ensuring compliance with site policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

About You





- Passionate about workplace safety and continuous improvement
- Comfortable working in the field and engaging with operational teams
- A strong communicator who can build trust and influence others
- Proactive, organised, and committed to high standards
- Previous experience in mining or heavy industry is advantageous, but not essential.
