The Power Group is seeking an enthusiastic self-starter with strong accounts and administration experience to join our Finance team as a full-time Bookkeeper / Finance Officer.

We are a family-owned Brisbane hospitality group built around one of the city’s most iconic venues, the Norman Hotel. We are now entering an exciting period of growth as we expand north with the opening of Norman Northside, a second large format steak venue in Enoggera, scheduled to open in early 2027.

About the position

This is a permanent full-time position. While the role will be based in Woolloongabba, it is a hybrid field role. Duties may also need to be performed at our city office and our other venues, as needed.

The role is a hands-on position, supporting the Finance team in the execution of the following tasks and more:

- Weekly payroll & superannuation processing for a team of 60 to 70 staff, under the HIGA award.
- Accounts payable, including managing supplier accounts and processing invoices and weekly supplier payment runs.
- Accounts receivable, including invoicing and debtor management.




- General ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Supporting the team with adhoc accounting and administration tasks.

Essential skills and experience

- Experience with MYOB Acumatica or similar accounting program
- Experience with time and attendance and payroll systems (like Tanda)
- Strong computer literacy with Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability and willingness to learn and navigate various integrated systems and software platforms
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Friendly and customer-focused with a positive mindset
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in the hospitality industry would be beneficial
