The opportunity

It’s an exciting time to join our Strategic Waste team as we’re in the beginning stages of our FOGO implementation plans across the Local Government area, and continue to deliver on our ‘business as usual’ projects that support our community.

We’re seeking a Waste Services Project Officer to join the team on a permanent basis, taking ownership over the design, delivery and evaluation of key waste, resource recovery and circular economy projects to maximise the diversion of waste from landfill.

You will lead our litter prevention program, work closely with our rangers on illegal dumping initiatives, and identify and develop other waste projects. You will also work closely with our Waste Transfer Station team on the planning and execution of problem waste drop off days.

- This is a permanent prospect – working full-time 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement
- Base Salary Range: $76,165 to $89,528 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $20,138 motor vehicle allowance + $2,562 retention allowance
- You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (project management, environmental sustainability, or environment management), or significant qualified experience in the waste and resource recovery sector
- A sound understanding of current waste and resource recovery issues and legislation relevant to local Government
- A proven ability to coordinate the design,



delivery and evaluation of effective waste management and resource recovery projects
