Staff Software Engineer | .NET & AWS

6-month contract | Sydney | Hybrid

We’re partnered with a fast-growing consultancy with enterprise clients. This role is suitable for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure cloud-based applications.

You’ll work hands‑on across architecture, development and deployment, while guiding engineers and helping shape technical direction.

Key responsibilities

- Design and build enterprise applications using .NET, C# and AWS
- Lead architecture and system design for cloud-native platforms
- Deliver solutions from development through to production support
- Build secure APIs, microservices and event-driven systems
- Mentor engineers and support technical decision‑making
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery and code quality





Required experience

- Robust commercial experience with .NET, .NET Core and C#
- Deep AWS and cloud-native development experience
- Proven solution architecture and distributed systems experience
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices and event‑driven architecture
- Hands‑on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD
- Strong understanding of security, testing, observability and production reliability
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives

Experience with Generative AI, Amazon Bedrock, RAG, LLMs or vector databases would be highly regarded.
