- Ability to travel regularly nationally and occasionally internationally
- Excellent time management skills with attention to punctuality and reliability

The following attributes would be highly desirable:

- Knowledge of Commercial Shipping
- Knowledge of the Marine Towage Industry
- Broad knowledge of synthetic ropes and their applications
- Splicing knowledge would also be highly desirable but not essential
