Crown Property Services are seeking casual cleaners to support our cleaning operations within a correctional facility in Ararat, Victoria. This is ideal for people living in the local area OR seeking a sea change and the opportunity to work in a professional and rewarding environment.

Position: Casual Cleaners
Location: Ararat
Start Date: IMMEDIATE START
Availability: Ability to work weekdays (Monday to Friday), Weekends and Public Holidays if and as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a cleaning team member, you will be maintaining a clean, hygienic, and protected environment within a secure facility. You will be inducted, trained and mentored to succeed. There are early shifts, late shifts, and weekend shifts available, so flexibility is important. You will need to have good knowledge of general cleaning processes and safe ways of working. You will have a desire to learn and develop your skills.

Offering Potential: 1 or 2 shifts per week, cover sick leave, cover annual leave and call ins for ad-hoc Bio and Vacate Cleans.

Key Responsibilities:

General cleaning duties, ensuring high standards are consistently met.

Bio cleaning and vacate cleaning.

Support the team in achieving daily deadlines as they arise, beyond the regular cleaning schedule.

Able to take and understand instructions from our site supervisor without prejudice.

Flexible to accept additional shifts,



as and when required.

Inspect your own work to ensure cleanliness, hygiene and workplace safety.

Understand and comply with all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S;) Protocols and Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) requirements.

Good attitude, respectful and professional in the workplace.

Maintain accurate job specific records, incidents, and maintenance reporting.

About You:

Demonstrated experience in a commercial or residential cleaning.

Good communication and time management.

Good working knowledge of cleaning protocols, chemical safety and infection control.

Knowledge of infection control and waste disposal processes.

Ability to work autonomously in a structured and compliant environment.

Physically fit with the ability to carry out manual tasks.

Able to read instructions report incidents or maintenance needs clearly and accurately.

Must be comfortable working in a secure, high-surveillance environment.

Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.

Mandatory Requirements:

National Police Check (current or willing to obtain)

Must pass the Precinct's Security Clearance and Background Check

Work rights in Australia.
