About the role

Calvary Riverina Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Patient Services/Booking Officer who thrives in a busy environment to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team to provide effective and efficient administrative support and customer service. In addition as Booking Officer you will be responsible for accurate clerical efficiency to ensure a smooth theatre bookings process for all hospital patients. The Booking Officer assists in achieving the goals of the Perioperative Suite, by working efficiently, effectively and co-operatively to contribute to the continuous quality improvement of the suite.

Flexibility and multi-skilling is important to enable effective management of all admissions within the organisation.

Your main duties will include:

- Booking of patient surgery and hospital admissions.
- Working collaboratively and in consultation with all hospital departments particularly theatre management.
- Liaising with external medical specialist practices and health funds

About you

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- High levelorganisation skills,



attention to detail and computer literacy.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously
- Previous experience within a hospital environment or specialist medical practice will be held in high regard
