Position overview

We are seeking a high-caliber Investment Banking Associate to join our Sydney-based team, with a preference for candidates bringing experience in the General Industrials sector. The role offers the prospect to work across a broad range of high-profile transactions in Australia, including M&A;, capital raising and strategic advisory.

The successful candidate will play a key role in deal execution while gaining exposure to senior leadership and participating in marquee transactions across the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Support senior bankers in originating, structuring, and executing M&A; transactions, equity and other financial advisory services.

- Conduct industry research, financial analysis, and valuation assessments to assist in client pitches and transaction processes.

- Prepare detailed financial models, pitch books, and presentation materials for client meetings and transactions.

- Coordinate due diligence processes, manage data rooms, and liaise with legal, compliance,



and other internal teams to ensure deal execution is seamless.

- Build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, and industry contacts to identify new business opportunities and expand the firm's presence in the region.

- Assist in mentoring and training junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.

- Relevant experience in investment banking, with exposure to M&A;, capital markets, or corporate finance transactions.

- Experience working on end-to-end transactions.

- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
