Lumora Early learning centre and Kindergarten Pakenham is seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead our stunning, well-established, 76 place service with 5 rooms and 3 outdoor play areas. Your Key ResponsibilitiesEducational Leadership

- Lead a high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for every child.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement, reflection and professional growth.
- Support the Educational Leader to implement engaging, play-based learning programs aligned with the EYLF.
- Promote children's wellbeing, learning, inclusion and development.

Centre Operations

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service to ensure smooth and efficient performance.
- Monitor occupancy, enrolments, staffing, budgets and financial performance.
- Prepare and manage rosters that support quality care while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Oversee centre presentation and ensure a welcoming environment for families.

Team Leadership

- Recruit, coach and mentor educators to achieve their professional goals.




- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Foster a respectful, collaborative and positive workplace culture.
- Encourage innovation, teamwork and continuous learning.

Family & Community Engagement

- Develop meaningful partnerships with families built on trust, transparency and respect.
- Build robust relationships within the local community.
- Support family engagement initiatives and centre events.
- Promote Lumora Childcare's values within the community.

Compliance & Quality

- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
- Lead the service in maintaining high standards under the National Quality Standard (NQS).
- Manage Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) and continuous improvement strategies.
- Champion child safety, safeguarding and inclusive practices across the service.

You bring energy, integrity and professionalism, while creating an environment where children, families and educators feel valued and supported.

What You'll Bring

- Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
- Minimum two years' experience in a LEADERSHIP ROLE.
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams




- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), Education and Care Services National Law & Regulations
- Excellent understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- Sound financial and business management experience
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality education and care
