About company/role:

- Major food/beverage manufacturing
- Based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne
- Seeking a QA/QC Officer to join the quality team
- 6-month casual contract, potential to extend
- Must be able to workday shift (6am-6pm), night shifts (6pm-6am) and weekends
- 7-day fortnightly roster
- Open to food science and chemistry graduates

Duties, but not limited to:

- Collecting samples from manufacturing line
- QC testing of raw materials and finished products using basic wet chemistry techniques (titrations, pH, brix, HPLC)
- Batch release
- Assisting with sensory evaluations
- Data entry and result compilation
- Check and fill-in quality paperwork
- General housekeeping and maintenanceof lab
- Ensure GMP standards

Skills/experience:

- Tertiary educationin Food science, Chemistry, or similar
- Prior experience in GMP regulated workplace or laboratory is highly advantageous
- Good understanding of chemistry analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and time management
