Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist

Heston MRO is a leading independent aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul provider supporting airline customers across Australia and internationally.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist to join our Finance team based at Brisbane Airport.

This is not a traditional Accounts Receivable role.

We are seeking someone who enjoys analysing data, understanding contracts, solving problems and working closely with operational teams to ensure every billable service is accurately captured, invoiced and collected.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting revenue, improving cash flow and supporting the continued growth of the business.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring all customer revenue is accurately captured and invoiced by analysing operational activity, interpreting customer agreements and working closely with station managers across the business.

You will also take ownership of collections activities and help drive improvements in billing processes, reporting and automation.

As part of a collaborative finance team, you will also gain exposure to broader finance activities and cross-functional training opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Analyse flight, maintenance and operational data to identify billable services.
- Interpret customer contracts and pricing agreements.
- Prepare accurate and timely customer invoices.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Work closely with station managers to validate operational information.
- Challenge data inconsistencies and drive resolution.




- Manage customer collections and debtor follow-up.
- Reduce revenue leakage and improve billing accuracy.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Provide support across broader finance activities as required.

About You

You are analytical, commercially minded and comfortable working with both data and people.

You enjoy understanding how a business operates and ensuring commercial outcomes are achieved.

To be successful you will have:

- Experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue administration or commercial finance.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience interpreting contracts, pricing schedules or service agreements.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Confidence engaging with operational stakeholders and challenging discrepancies where required.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and technology adoption.
- Experience in aviation, engineering, maintenance, logistics, transport or service-based industries will be highly regarded.
