Mental Health Clinician-Portland Adult Team

- Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (80 hours per fortnight) with a monthly ADO.

- Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist Grade 3, or Psychologist Grade 2
- Salary Range: $94,478 - $120,874 per annum, (pro rata) plus superannuation

About the role

South West Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our Portland Community Mental Health Service in an ongoing full-time position. Applications are welcomed from Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialised mental health care and recovery-focused support to adults aged 26-65 across the Portland region. Working alongside consumers, families, carers and community supports, you will deliver person centred, trauma informed care that promotes recovery, resilience and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualised recovery and treatment plans
- Manage a clinical caseload and provide outreach-based support within the community
- Deliver evidence based therapeutic interventions to consumers, families and carers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to provide coordinated and holistic care
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with community services and stakeholders
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of mental health programs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting




- Participate in clinical supervision, professional development and continuous learning opportunities

What you will bring:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A recognised qualification and current registration in one of the following disciplines:
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse (AHPRA)
- Occupational Therapist (AHPRA)
- Social Worker (eligible for AASW membership)
- Demonstrated clinical skills and knowledge in mental health practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective therapeutic relationships
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- The capacity to work autonomously while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
- A genuine commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed mental health care
