Reports to: PTP Manager
Supports: Casual Staff
The Role
The PTP Coordinator (Pre-Junior, Junior & Pre-Teen) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of these age groups within the PTP department, ensuring consistent quality and delivery. The PTP Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination, delivery support and training oversight of the Junior PTP age groups with responsibilities including management of casual staff, timetabling, student experience and parent management while maintaining the creative and technical standards that define Brent Street's elite training programs.
The PTP Coordinator will be responsible for student retention and growth of these age groups working collaboratively with the PTP Manager for consistency across the broader PTP department.
Hours and days are subject to change based on timetabling and events and will be programmed in consultation with the successful candidate. You will be required to work afternoon/evenings and weekends in line with the program timetable up to a 38-hour work week.
Monday: 1:00pm – 8:30pm
Tuesday: 12:00pm – 7:30pm
Thursday: 1:00pm – 8:30pm
Friday: RDO
Saturday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Sunday: RDO
Key Responsibilities
Casual Staff Coordination & Quality Assurance
- Oversight of the Junior PTP program management in consultation with the PTP Manager, including rostering, performance monitoring, guidance, and professional development.
- Provide practical guidance and support as professional development for casual staff.
- Ensure consistent delivery standards across all instructors and subjects.
- Maintain professional standards of appearance and conduct for teaching staff according to the Brent Street Code of Conduct.
- Regularly observe classes, particularly for beginning teachers, and provide timely feedback or escape persistent concerns.
- Maintain compliance with relevant accreditation frameworks and Brent Street policies.
- Uphold the highest standards of student welfare, inclusion, and professional conduct.
- Ensure consistency and alignment with Brent Street's reputation and standard of excellence in consultation with PTP Manager.
- Ensure program content remains current, industry-relevant, and aligned with accreditation requirements in consultation with PTP Manager.
- Model best-practice teaching methods to inspire and challenge students.
- Mentor students and provide support to teaching staff to achieve excellence in technical ability, performance quality, and professional readiness.
- Attend Brent Street events, ensuring high standards of creative and technical quality.
- Distribute information between the creative team and choreographers.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of routines for eisteddfods and concerts.
Student Experience Welfare and Retention
- Ensure student welfare aligns with Child Safe Standards and WHS guidelines
- Focus on student retention, internal talent scouting, and ensuring new students and parents feel welcomed.
- Monitor student progress and provide guidance for further training development.
- Handle any welfare issues or absences promptly.
- Teach classes when necessary.
- Ensure attendance is recorded.
- Enforce Brent Street's Student Code of Conduct in all classes, ensuring students comply and taking appropriate actions when needed
- Fill in for absent teachers as directed by the PTP Manager.
Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
- Act as the primary liaison for parents and prospective students of PTP program
- Ensure high-quality communication with staff, students, and parents; handle disputes where possible or refer to the PTP Manager
- Monitor student progress and report to parents through meetings or written communication.
- Initiate or attend appointments with students/parents to discuss progress or address concerns.
- Represent Brent Street at relevant events, auditions, and showcases.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with industry professionals to support student pathways.
