An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a large national not-for-profit organisation supporting communities across multiple Australian states. This organisation is undergoing continued growth and development, creating a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to contribute to a high-performing payroll function while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant and timely payroll services across a large and complex workforce. You will work closely with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders while providing guidance on payroll processes, compliance and best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

- End-to-end payroll processing across a large and diverse workforce.
- Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditions.
- Managing payroll reporting, reconciliations and compliance activities.
- Conducting payroll audits, validations and quality assurance checks.
- Resolving complex payroll enquiries and issues.




- Supporting system improvements and payroll process optimisation.
- Maintaining payroll documentation and procedures.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation.

What You'll Need to Succeed

- Previous end-to-end payroll experience within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong understanding of awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation.
- Experience performing reconciliations, reporting and payroll compliance activities.
- Strong payroll systems and Excel capability.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
