We are seeking a reliable and practical Casual Handyman to complete general maintenance, minor repairs and property upkeep across Woodlands properties, buildings and facilities.
Reporting to the Property Manager, you will receive clear day-to-day priorities, job instructions and timeframes. This role will suit someone who enjoys wide-ranging, hands-on work, takes pride in completing jobs properly and can work safely and independently across different locations.

About the role
The Casual Handyman is responsible for scheduled and unscheduled general maintenance and minor repair work. You will complete allocated tasks safely, efficiently and to an appropriate standard, while providing regular updates to the Property Manager about progress, materials, delays and any work that requires a licensed trade or specialist contractor.
Your work may include:

- Collecting and managing approved materials and consumables for allocated jobs
- Maintaining tools, equipment, vehicles and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition
- Keeping accurate records of work completed, time worked and materials used
The role does not undertake electrical, plumbing, gas, structural, asbestos-related or other licensed or high-risk work unless the person is appropriately qualified, authorised and directed to do so.
About you
You are dependable, safety-conscious and comfortable completing practical work with limited supervision. You take pride in neat, tidy outcomes, communicate clearly and understand when a job is outside your authority or should be referred to a qualified tradesperson.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in handyman work, property maintenance, building maintenance, facilities maintenance or a similar practical role
- The ability to safely use common hand tools and power tools
- Sound practical judgement and problem-solving skills
- Good organisation and time management,
including the ability to work to agreed priorities and timeframes
- A reliable, punctual and professional approach
- The ability to work independently and cooperatively with employees, contractors and property occupants
- A current Australian driver licence and own vehicle (will be paid a vehicle allowance)
- Physical fitness and stamina suitable for an active maintenance role
- Availability to work casual hours in response to property and operational requirements
A Construction White Card and relevant trade, maintenance or building experience would be advantageous but are not essential.
Why join Woodlands?
At Woodlands, you will join a proud local business with deep roots in the Sunshine Coast community and a strong future ahead.
We offer:
- Varied and practical work where no two days are exactly the same
- Clear day-to-day direction from the Property Manager
- A supportive and down-to-earth work environment
- The opportunity to use a broad range of practical skills
- Casual flexibility within a stable, long-established family business
- Work based across Woodlands properties in the Beerwah and surrounding areas
