Elite Cricket Academy and Sports Gear Private Limited (ECA) is an integrated indoor cricket training facility operating since 2021, with three centres across Australia and India. Each centre offers modern training equipment, a gym, a recovery area, an onsite retail store, and box cricket, providing a comprehensive training environment. Our 40m cricket lanes deliver a full run-up experience for bowlers of all types.

Role Description
The Head Coach – Cricket (South East Melbourne) is a part-time, on-site role based at ECA's Pakenham Cricket Centre. The Head Coach will plan and deliver structured training sessions focused on skill development, fitness, game awareness, and sportsmanship for cricketers across a range of age groups and skill levels.
Day-to-day responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities include designing practice drills, supervising net sessions, providing individual and group feedback, and monitoring player progress through regular assessments. The role also involves coordinating with support staff,
ensuring the safe use of equipment and facilities, and maintaining a positive, inclusive training environment. Beyond session delivery, the Head Coach will contribute to program development, talent identification, mentoring of junior coaches, and participation in academy events, camps, and matches as required.
Qualifications
- Level 2 accreditation with Cricket Victoria, Cricket Australia, or an equivalent recognised governing body
- Prior coaching experience at a community, sub-district, or premier club (essential)
- Strong technical and tactical cricket coaching skills, with experience coaching diverse age groups and ability levels
- Proven ability to design structured training plans, practice drills, and player development pathways
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on creating an inclusive and supportive environment
- Sound understanding of physical conditioning, injury prevention, and safe training practices relevant to cricket
- Prior experience as a Head Coach, senior coach, or skilled/competitive-level player is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple training groups and sessions
- Willingness to work part-time on-site in Pakenham, including evenings and weekends as required by academy schedules
