About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedLawyer/Associate or Senior Associate to join our well-regardedAdministrative Law team. Working alongside Partners Mark Henry andAngela Barac, this role will work within a team of high performinglawyers in undertaking merits review for a Commonwealth Governmentagency.

This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team andassist in the supervision of a high performing practice. Day to dayyou will have the following responsibilities:

- Finalising litigation strategies and statements ofissues
- Conducting directions hearings and case conferences
- Managing substantive hearings
- Solicitor advocacy at hearings and finalising briefs toCounsel
- Undertaking complex statutory interpretation.

About you

In order to be considered for this role, you will have thefollowing skills and experience:

- At least 3 - 4+ years post qualification experience,ideally with experience in government advisory work andlitigation.
- Strong solicitor advocacy experience and expertise.
- Experience mentoring team members with excellentcommunication skills and a collegiate approach.
- You may have a background of working in government and bekeen to make your first move into a law firm. Alternatively,you will be doing similar work in another firm and looking fora new opportunity.
