About the Role

Contribute to the delivery of quality water and wastewater services to the community





Undertake installation, maintenance and monitoring works on Council’s water and wastewater network including water supply and wastewater drainage systems ensuring compliance with legislative requirements

Document, monitor and review water and wastewater data in electronic and hard copy format, reporting anomalies as required

Contribute to cross-team collaboration through information and knowledge sharing and providing support for maintenance and operations of treatment plants

Establish and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships through effective communication to ensure positive outcomes

Be available for weekend and on-call rosters and be available to respond to emergency callouts when required

Monitor own work performance and progress towards the delivery of work plan goals and report on progress to team leaders

Use resources efficiently, effectively and responsibly to complete tasks that either contribute to or directly deliver services

Contribute to the performance of Council: demonstrate professional conduct, make the best use of knowledge, experience and skills and be accountable for own decisions and actions

Contribute to a protected workplace: comply with legislative and organisational requirements and be accountable for own decisions and actions

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Current Class C drivers’ licence

Construction Induction White Card





Ability and willingness to work weekend and on-call rosters and be available to respond to emergency callouts when required

Physically fit to complete all aspects of the position

Certification III in Water Industry Operations or willing to obtain within 24 months

Traffic Controller Certificate or willing to obtain within 12 months

Drivers Licence MR (Medium Rigid) or willing to obtain within 12 months

Certificate of Competence in Excavator Operations or willing to obtain within 12 months

Confined Space entry or willing to obtain within 12 months

Asbestos Handling Certificate or willing to obtain within 12 months

Demonstrated literacy and computer skills with the ability to complete paper and electronic forms and record data

First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain within 12 months

Operate a Drain Cleaning System/ High pressure jetting Certificate or willing to obtain within 12 months
