An opportunity has become available with a leading Tier 1 HVAC Contractor for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their Commercial Design & Construct team.

This role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineer with 4-6 years' experience within a building services consultancy who is looking to transition into the contractor environment.

No estimating experience is required.

The business is specifically seeking candidates from a consulting background, as the role requires strong mechanical design knowledge and the ability to develop practical engineering solutions during the tender and delivery process.

Rather than being a traditional estimating position, the role offers exposure across estimating, design coordination and project delivery , providing the opportunity to work closely with construction teams and see projects through from tender to completion.

The Role

- Prepare cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects.
- Review drawings and specifications.




- Develop practical design and value engineering solutions.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Support project delivery from tender through to construction.

About You

- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
- Approximately 4-6 years' experience within a building services consultancy.
- Strong HVAC design knowledge across commercial projects.
- Looking to build a career within the Design & Construct sector.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
