Our client is a fast‑growing non‑bank lender with a strong and diverse mortgage offering across residential and commercial segments. With continued expansion and a commitment to high‑quality credit outcomes, they are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join their credit team in Sydney, to cover parental leave for a 12 month fixed term contract.

About the Role
As a Credit Analyst, you will assess and decision loan applications across a broad portfolio, applying strong analytical judgement and ensuring alignment with credit policy and risk appetite. You’ll manage a busy pipeline, work closely with brokers and internal teams, and play a key role in delivering a seamless customer experience from application through to approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and decision loan applications in line with credit policy and risk frameworks
- Manage a pipeline of applications and deliver timely, high‑quality decisions
- Apply strong analytical judgement to complex borrower scenarios
- Ensure compliance with NCCP, Responsible Lending,
AML/CTF and internal risk standards
- Communicate credit decisions clearly to brokers and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Sales, Credit Support, Settlements and Collections to resolve scenarios
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior and mid‑level analysts
- Contribute to process improvement and capability uplift across the credit team
About You
- 5 years’ experience in financial services, in mortgage lending within a non‑bank or specialist environment
- Strong technical capability in credit assessment and financial analysis
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder engagement
- High attention to detail and strong risk judgement
- Collaborative, proactive and comfortable challenging the status quo
- Confident using digital systems and adaptable to new tools
