Lifestyle Coordinator / Lifestyle Assistant (Croatian Speaking)

CroCare is a not-for-profit, community-focused residential aged care home providing care to older Australians within a proud Croatian community. As an ethnospecific aged care provider, our residents' language, culture, traditions and sense of belonging are central to the care we provide.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Lifestyle Coordinator or experienced Lifestyle Assistant who is passionate about enriching the lives of older people. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to lead our lifestyle program or an experienced assistant ready to step into a leadership role with support.

Croatian language skills are essential. The successful applicant must be able to communicate with residents in Croatian or have a robust understanding of spoken Croatian to support meaningful engagement and build trusted relationships.

About the Role

Working closely with residents, families and the clinical team, you will:

- Develop and deliver engaging lifestyle, leisure and wellbeing programs that reflect residents' interests, culture and individual preferences.

- Complete lifestyle assessments, care plans, progress notes and participation records.

- Support residents living with dementia through meaningful, person-centred engagement.

- Coordinate cultural celebrations, entertainment, community outings, volunteers and special events.

- Encourage resident choice, independence and social connection.





- Monitor resident participation and continually review programs to ensure they remain meaningful and responsive.

- Work collaboratively with clinical, hospitality and support services to deliver holistic care.

- Assist with the ongoing development of CroCare's lifestyle program in line with the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

About You

You will bring:

- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent), or be working towards this qualification.

- Experience in residential aged care, community aged care or disability services.

- Ability to speak or confidently understand Croatian (essential).

- A genuine passion for improving quality of life for older people.

- Strong organisational and documentation skills.

- Experience supporting people living with dementia.

- A positive, hands‑on approach and willingness to participate in activities alongside residents.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
