Global Skills has recently been awarded contracts to deliverthe Australian Government’s Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program inCentral Western Sydney, Fairfield, Macarthur, Northern Sydney and Outer WesternSydney regions. The contracts were awarded following a tender carried out bythe Department of Social Services and delivery of the program commenced on 1November 2025.
IEA replaced Disability Employment Services; a programGlobal Skills has been delivering since 2006. Designed to create a moreinclusive future for people with a disability, injury and/or a healthcondition, IEA places each person’s unique goals and needs at the heart of theprogram. Participants will receive personalised support to prepare for, secureand maintain meaningful employment.
We are looking for an Employment Consultant to join our Ryde and Hornsby Teams
About the job
Provide and arrange customised, person-centred support to adiverse caseload of participants, including the development and implementationof personalised job plans, resume and career guidance, interview preparationand workshops, referral to training and complimentary services to support workpreparation and job placement.
- Build positive relationships with employers for brokeringor sustaining employment
- Ensuring performance benchmarks are achieved
- Ensure compliance with National Standards for DisabilityServices, ISO 27001:2022/RFFR accreditation and other quality initiatives andcompliance requirements
- Adhere to WHS policies, all Information Security andPrivacy requirements, understand, and apply Deed and guideline requirements
Selection Criteria
- Experience in disability or employment servicesand/or an ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgroundsspecifically persons with a disability, injury or illness
- Preferably hold qualifications in Employment,Community or Disability services or a related/higher level qualification
- Possess exceptional communication skills and apassion for helping others and making a difference
- Bi-lingual applicants who can speak Mandarin orCantonese will be highly regarded.
- Share our commitment to providing the higheststandard of customer service and collaboration with key stakeholders
- Have an understanding of the local labourmarket, career and training opportunities
- Have experience working to deadlines and/or KPIs
- Possess strong administration skills and ITliteracy
- Be willing to provide a satisfactory CriminalRecord Check, Working with Children Check and other checks as deemed necessary
- Be eligible to work in Australia
- Have a full driver’s licence, positive drivingrecord and be willing to travel as required
