The Opportunity:

- Casual Appointment.
- Teaching $91.42 - 98.77 / non-teaching $62.14 - $67.10 p/h + 12% super (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Chadstone Campus – onsite parking and close proximity to public transport.

The Design and Finishing Trades Department at Holmesglen delivers a diverse range of programs across fashion and interior design, furniture manufacturing and upholstery, trowel trades, painting, and printing. With strong industry connections and a focus on practical, industry-aligned training, the department supports students from Certificate II through to advanced diplomas and degree-level programs.

As a Casual Teacher, you will deliver engaging, hands-on training in automotive and marine trimming technology and upholstery.

In this role, you will:

- Deliver engaging, hands-on training and assessment in Auto Trimming.
- Develop and continuously improve learning resources and assessment tools that reflect current industry practices.
- Share your expertise across automotive interiors, marine canopies, soft furnishings, and custom upholstery applications.
- Support students to build practical, industry-ready skills in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Build strong industry connections and contribute to keeping training current, relevant, and aligned with workforce needs.

To be successful, you’ll have:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.




- Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming (or equivalent relevant qualification).
- Robust industry experience in automotive and marine trimming, upholstery, and soft furnishings.
- Passion for sharing your trade knowledge and supporting diverse learners.
- Current knowledge of VET, competency-based training, and industry practices.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative, adaptable approach and commitment to continuous learning.

WWCC and Police Check:

Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
