Operations Coordinator - Relocate to Tasmania

$102,027 to $106,985 + 6.5% corrections allowance

We’relooking for experienced Operations Coordinators to join our team at Ashley Youth Detention Centre located near Deloraine, 35 minutes away from Launceston. This is a critical frontline leadership role responsible for running operations and leading teams in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

- Lead and coordinate dailycentreoperations
- Manage and support the team of Youth Workers on shift
- Make critical decisions to manage risk and maintain safety
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to support outcomes for young people
- Work 12 hours shifts, with set monthly rotating rosters.
- You will be allocated to a daytime or nighttime role

This is a hands-on, shift-based, leadership role where no two days are the same!

You will bring strong organisational skills, a strong sense of purpose and you have;

- A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing
- A passion for working with vulnerable young people and model the Department’s values through respectful relationships, integrity, and cooperative leadership,
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, bring fresh ideas, and contribute to improving the centre’s operation
- A current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Employment/Volunteer Status, or the ability to obtain
