Brightminds Early Learning is looking for part time Cook/Chef to cover maternity leave (Sept 2026-Sept 2027) to work with and alongside our children.
Brightminds Early Learning is nestled amongst beautiful bushland in the Diamond Creek ranges (located on Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung land).
Our family‑owned and operated service offers a wonderful early learning experience. As the successful applicant you will be required to plan and prepare nutritious meals for our children in our commercial kitchen.
Qualifications & experience
- Cert III or industry related qualification in cooking
- Working With Children Check or the ability to acquire
Tasks & responsibilities
- Preparing meals for our children
- Undertaking quality control
- Keeping up to date with all health and safety requirements
- Stock ordering and inventory control
- Involve the children in mini cooking lessons
- Maintaining the Food Safety Program
- Working as part of a team that will include encouraging children to engage in a healthy manner with foods.
