The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join a high‑performing in‑house legal team.

Reporting into the General Counsel, you will partner closely with project, commercial and development stakeholders, whilst providing strategic legal support across a diverse portfolio of major development and construction projects. This front‑end focused role will see you involved in complex transactions from project inception and procurement through to delivery and ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of construction, development and commercial agreements
- Advising on procurement strategies, tender documentation and project delivery structures
- Providing commercially focused legal advice on development,



construction and property matters
- Supporting contract management, risk allocation and project structuring initiatives
- Assisting with dispute avoidance, claims management and resolution strategies
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to facilitate successful commercial and project outcomes
- Managing external legal advisers and supporting key negotiations with contractors, consultants and project partners
- Contributing to governance, compliance and broader business initiatives as required

The Candidate

You will be a construction, projects or property lawyer with approximately 7+ years' PQE, gained within a leading law firm or sophisticated in‑house environment.

You will also bring:

- Strong experience advising on front‑end construction, development and major projects matters
- A solid understanding of construction contracting models, procurement frameworks and risk allocation principles
- Experience supporting large‑scale residential, commercial, mixed‑use or property development projects
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide pragmatic, business‑focused advice
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and solutions‑oriented approach
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced and evolving project environment
