Growers buy from people they trust. That takes years to build and about five minutes to lose.
Anyone who has carried an agricultural territory already knows it.
BioScout builds world-first sensor technology that detects airborne crop disease in the field, in real time. Growers and agronomists see what is coming before yield is lost, so spray decisions get made on data instead of a calendar. Better crops, less chemical, lower spend.
This is precision agriculture doing something measurable. Patent-protected hardware, well funded, and already selling across Australia and New Zealand.
The crops are grapes, potatoes, onions and cereals. Viticulture, horticulture and broadacre. The buyers are owner-operators spending their own money, agronomists advising them, and commercial leadership at larger agribusinesses.
Product-market fit is established. Retention is strong. There is a qualified ANZ pipeline live right now.
BioScout is hiring its first dedicated ANZ Business Development Manager to scale a sales motion that is already working.
The basics:
- Uncapped commission built around recent business
- Employee Share Option Plan, so you hold a stake in what you build
- All travel covered
- Warm leads passed to you directly by the CRO
- A marketing hire building the events and outbound engine underneath you
- Based in Sydney, or Orange NSW,
or near a major airport
The reality:
- You own the full cycle. Prospecting, cold calls, discovery, business cases, close.
- Around a week a month on the road, at field days, conferences and on farms across Australia and New Zealand.
- Cycles run 3 to 6 months, with buyers spending their own money.
- You keep your own pipeline and CRM honest.
- You run the region your way.
You might be a territory manager, area sales manager, district sales manager, business development manager, sales representative or product specialist today.
Likely in agricultural machinery or a dealership, spray equipment or irrigation, capital equipment, crop protection and crop inputs, rural retail, or agribusiness services.
You don't need AgTech on your CV. You need to know how to open a door on a farm and be believed once you are through it.
Someone who has carried a number and hit it without being managed. Who can sit in a shed or a ute and speak plainly. Who can tell a real deal from noise.
First six months, you will be building a territory plan, working the warm leads across and getting your own outbound running. By twelve, you should have consistent close rates and know the region better than anyone in the business.
