Your New Company
Medium sized Company in the energy/renewables space. Ideal size for growing your career, big enough to have real challenges, yet small enough to matter and influence outcomes. Work in a collegiate, supportive, professional, and diverse culture. Provide support to some of Australia's sharpest energy professionals doing innovative things. Enjoy flexible working arrangements, normal working hours in one time zone (far less than the big multinationals), and a place where your ongoing study is supported and in most cases reimbursed if job related. There is good reason the average tenure of staff is much longer than it's peers, it is simply a great place to work.

Your New Role
This newly created role sits under the FP&A; lead, ultimately rolling up to the CFO's office. As the name suggest, you are the hands on analyst providing - financial planning (medium/long range), analysis (business cases, projects, variances, strategic insights), and also support financial planning tools including an upcoming implementation of a leading global planning technology. Your reports will be seen both internally and externally, exhibiting your formal writing skills.

In your initial 3-6 months you'll be tasked with a full review of all corporate departments, working closely with function heads to understand KPI's for each unit, calculate overhead rates, support business improvement initatives and present your findings to the C-suite. Beyond the initial project, you'll go on to deliver traditional FP&A; services, including owning the analysis of leases, key major contracts (hundreds of millions of dollars). You will both create and update financial models,

monitoring changing business dynamics regularly. You will also leverage technology including the use of AI, Excel, PowerBI and planning tool coming in shortly.

Your Profile
Though the role is "analyst", it requires a few years of finance experience and preferable an advanced qualification (CA, CPA, CFA, MBA, Masters in related Field) and a degree in a business/finance discipline (economics, accounting, finance, or related). Whilst you are naturally inquisitive, curious and analytical, you are also personable, with influencing skills and superior ability to take the complex and put it in plain English to a variety of stakeholders. You thrive in roles where you have both core duties and project based work to keep you on your toes, balancing regular reporting/analysis with once off business cases, what if scenarios, and deep dives into data.

The keys to being appointed would be demonstrating a strong mix of commercial acumen in business (getting the big picture, strategic thinking) with the ability to utilize technology to deliver decision support and key information. You have depth in MS Excel financial modelling, some practical AI usage, and are keen to be a key player in an upcoming planning tool implementation.

You will have examples of insights and analysis you've created in the past that we're acted on for a positive result - and be able to articulate this meaningfully during interviews.

Your Application
To secure this exciting and rare FP&A; opportunity, please apply today. Your application will be reviewed by Eric Macias (08) 6141 32***in real time. The role is to be filled ASAP, as the role has been created and there is much to be done! We will wait for you if you have a notice period, quality over timing, but the sooner the better.
