About the role

We are seeking an experienced Joinery Project Manager to join Design by Sergio on a full time basis. This is a strategic position based in Botany, NSW, where you will take responsibility for overseeing joinery and cabinet making projects from inception through to completion. As Joinery Project Manager, you will be the key liaison between our design team, craftspeople, clients and suppliers, ensuring that every project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate and oversee all aspects of joinery and cabinet making projects, from initial client consultation through to final installation and handover

- Manage project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within agreed financial parameters

- Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates on progress and address any concerns or changes to specifications

- Coordinate with the design team to ensure drawings,



specifications and technical documentation are accurate and buildable

- Supervise and support workshop staff, including craftspeople to maintain productivity and quality standards

- Source and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring materials are of high quality and delivered on time

- Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify client requirements and ensure proper fit and installation

- Identify and resolve project challenges, including design issues, delays or quality concerns, in a timely and professional manner

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Project Manager within joinery, cabinet making, carpentry or related skilled trades industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of joinery and cabinet making processes, materials, techniques and industry standards

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality

- Excellent project planning and scheduling skills, with proficiency in project management

- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, estimate costs accurately and monitor project profitability





- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, staff and suppliers

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and CAD documents

- Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to manage challenges and implement solutions proactively

- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required

- Preferably, experience working with high-end residential or commercial joinery projects
