Position Overview:

The Junior Project Manager supports the planning, coordination and delivery of projects across shipbuilding, repair, maintenance and fabrication activities. Working under the guidance of the Project Manager, the role assists with project scheduling, documentation, resource coordination and client communication to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop project management skills within the maritime and defence industries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and delivering projects from start to completion.
- Assist with project scheduling, resource allocation, procurement and progress tracking.
- Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors and equipment to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain project documentation, reports, schedules and meeting records.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or delay and escalate issues as required.
- Promote compliance with WHS, environmental, quality and client requirements.
- Support HSEQ documentation, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients,



suppliers and subcontractors to ensure effective project delivery.
- Assist with project reporting, cost tracking and administrative coordination.
- Build project management knowledge through mentoring, training and ongoing career development while upholding Griffin Industrial Group's values of safety, integrity, teamwork and quality.

About You:

- Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Business or a related discipline (or working towards).
- 1–3 years' experience in project administration, coordination or a related supervisory/trade leadership role.
- Strong organisational, communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and eager to learn, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- White Card, current driver's licence and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
- Committed to delivering safe, high-quality outcomes with a strong customer focus.

Desirable:

- Experience in the maritime, defence or heavy industrial industries.
- Knowledge of project management and HSEQ principles.
- First Aid, Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications.
