About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Brake Press Operator to join our afternoon shift manufacturing team. The role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC brake press machinery to accurately fold and form perforated aluminium and steel façade panels to customer specifications and quality standards.

The successful candidate will have experience working with architectural sheet metal products, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC brake press machines to fold perforated façade panels and architectural sheet metal products.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and production schedules
- Select appropriate tooling and machine programs to achieve required bend angles and dimensions
- Inspect materials prior to processing and verify completed parts meet specified tolerances.
- Complete first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks throughout the production process.
- Record production data and report quality, maintenance, or safety issues promptly.
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts (where licensed and authorised).




- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and dispatch teams to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping activities.

Skills and Experience

Essential

- Previous experience operating CNC brake presses in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication documentation.
- Strong understanding of bend allowances, tooling selection, and sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong focus on workplace safety

Desirable

- Experience manufacturing architectural or façade panel systems.
- Experience working with perforated aluminium and steel products.
- Forklift licence.
- Overhead crane operation experience.
- Familiarity with Delem, Cybelec, or similar brake press control systems.
