Varley Farms is seeking an experienced Senior Farmhand / Leading Hand to join our large-scale broadacre cropping operation in the eastern Wheatbelt of Western Australia.
Operating approximately 17,500 hectares, we offer the opportunity to work with modern equipment, advanced technology and a supportive team setting, with genuine long-term career progression opportunities.
This hands-on role will see you involved in all aspects of the farming operation, including:
- Seeding, spraying, spreading and harvest operations
- Machinery setup, calibration and operation
- Grain handling and transport
- Maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
- General farm maintenance, water systems, fencing and infrastructure
- Daily planning and coordinating seasonal staff during peak periods
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong broadacre cropping experience
- Proven experience operating modern machinery, including self-propelled sprayers
- John Deere machinery and guidance experience
- Current ChemCert (or willingness to obtain)
- Good mechanical and problem-solving skills
- A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Driver's licence (MC licence preferred)
- Unrestricted Australian work rights
